PRC Independent Guarantee Provisions Seminar – Singapore
April 3, 2017
On 1 December 2016, the People's Republic of China's Supreme People’s Court issued a legally binding pronouncement setting forth Chinese law for independent guarantees.
These provisions are binding in all Chinese courts, and will impact global banks not only in their dealings with China, but with any guarantees subject to Chinese law or jurisdiction. These Provisions are important for banks' staff, correspondents, and customers.
This timely one-day seminar devoted to these provisions and their impacts on international banking will bring to bear the Institute of International Banking Law & Practice's long history of working with Chinese banks, lawyers, and independent guarantee and letter of credit law to bring a one-by-one analysis of the 26 Provisions, along with their impacts.
