Some have suggested that the current version of Article 10 (Amendments) seems to be working.

Others, particularly in the Middle East, contend that it could be better written. One of the first queries submitted to ICC after UCP600 went into force asked about an as yet unaccepted amendment which does not impact a presentation of documents. This ICC Opinion R634/638rev indicated that the drafters sought to clarify this type of scenario when UCP500 Art. 9(d)(iii) wording gave way to UCP600 Art. 10(c).

Still others note that it fails to distinguish between proposed amendments from the perspective of the beneficiary, using the term “amendment” in three or four different ways.
